For this coming Saturday at St Austell Garden Festival we are going to have lots of stalls and entertainment for your delight!

The event will be spread through out White River Place, Fore Street and the Market House with stalls and displays wherever you look!

Entry is free and the festival starts at 10am and finishes at 4pm.

The opening ceremony will be at 10.30am, and James Staughton from St Austell Brewery will be there to open it with our new Mayor Tim Styles.

We are also delighted to announce that there will be a special tree planting ceremony with Geraint Richards, Head Forester for the Duchy. The tree that will be planted by him is a sister tree to the one presented to Prince Charles on his last visit to St Austell in April.

Spot the flower trail with prizes!
Local businesses will be participating in special window displays and a ‘spot the flower’ trail on the day, with a prize draw!

Lots of Entertainment throughout the day
Local brass bands, choirs, and theatre groups will be performing including StanSils Shanty Singers,  the Champagne Ladies and St Austell Arts Theatre Group amongst many others!

Schools Competition: Suitcases planted up by children from local schools will be put on display around the town. There is a competition for the best planting scheme and the winners will be announced on the day. The suitcases will remain in the town over the summer as part of the annual entry into the RHS ‘Britain In Bloom’ competition, of which St Austell was a South West finalist in 2018.

We do hope that you can join us on the day!
